The Tama Democratic Party will have (1) $250 Scholarship available to a graduating high school senior who is a resident of Tama County in the current calendar year.
Criteria
2. High School Senior
3. GPA of 2.5 or above
4. Essay of 250 - 500 words required
This is a blind scholarship, which means the scholarship committee does not want to know the identity of the applicant. Applications must be submitted by the high school guidance counselor. The counselor will forward the application to the address listed below with only a number to identify the student.
Rules of the Award
The scholarship will be awarded directly to the
student’s institution of higher education at the beginning of their
second semester of enrollment. If the student fails to enroll in a
second term, the scholarship will not be awarded. A committee of three
(3) persons appointed by the Tama County Democratic Party Central
Committee shall evaluate the applications and decide on a winner. The
decision of the Scholarship committee is final. Deadline for application is May 1, 2017 at 5 p.m.
